For our Danfoss locations in Denmark, Finland, US and China, we are currently looking for a Product Manager to develop our complete electric motor driven hydraulic systems portfolio (eHydraulics and eWorkFunctions)
In this position, your work will include defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Gather, and manage, market/customer/internal requirements as well as actively engaging cross functionally to support the organisation.
Within this role some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 30%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
Job Responsibilities
As the eHydraulics Product Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop the electric motor driven hydraulic system (eHydraulics, eWorkFunction) strategy and roadmap that align with Editron divisional strategy and objectives
- Work cross-functionally with Hydraulic Divisions, System Engineering, R&D, Product Engineering, Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and Marketing
- Monitor and report regulatory and market rule changes that could affect electrification of offroad machinery, find opportunities from these changes or mitigate impacts
- Ensure that the technology mix support the commercial and technical requirements for the product portfolio
- Conduct Market / Technology analyses and identification of new technology opportunities that can provide a competitive edge, conduct product analysis and benchmarking on competitor to provide value-added solutions
- Define and support system level product strategy and pricing strategies
- Understand the customer needs and challenges, and how our products can support their operations
- Build technology requirement documents based on the business/marketing plans for new products and features.
- Contribute content to the creation of the customer facing documentation and marketing support material.
- Thought-Leadership to shape, promote, and own topics important for ehydraulics, eWorkFunction solutions for our customers
- Continuously update technical documentation database and external presentations in partnership with Program Manager, Product Marketing and Sales Teams worldwide.
- Develop deep knowledge of product strengths and weakness and provide key perspectives on decisions with the cross functional teams
- Collaborate with key 3rd party partnerships to ensure customers receive an integrated, tuned solution that meets their needs.
- Understand and support the sales team and channel partners. Support internal tool and process development.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
- An understanding of the competitive landscape of On and Off-road hydraulic and electrification market; and be an expert on our technical solutions and how they are positioned
- Demonstrable experience of product management and/or system engineering industry experience and prior work with electrification and/or hydraulics engineering in the mobile machinery industry
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Independent, self-starter with validated ability to succeed in dynamic environments and with evolving technology and market requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrix environment without direct managerial control
- Excellent verbal and written English skills a must
- Good project and time management skills
